The Azubis 2015

The 21 participants of the program were selected from 101 applications and come from all over Bavaria. They will be interning at different U.S. companies for ten to twelve weeks:

Alexander (24) is from Bamberg. He is training to become a management assistant in wholesale and foreign trade. During his stay in the United States, Alexander will be interning with Kuehne + Nagel Inc., where he will gain insight into the functioning of a globally operating logistics company. Furthermore, he will learn about U.S. export and customs provisions.

Matthias (18) is from Oberostendorf. He is learning to become a tools mechanic. Matthias will be interning with American BOA Inc., where he will learn about differences between American and German production technology. At American BOA he will be given the opportunity to carry out a project by himself.

Jason Jr. (20) is from Arnstein. He is being educated as a motor vehicle mechatronics technician. He loves working on cars and is particularly interested in American models. During his stay in the United States Jason will be interning for a mechanical engineering company by the name of NIMAK NA Inc. in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he will be manufacturing metal products.

Johanna (19) is from Halsbach. She is training to become a management assistant in wholesale and foreign trade. Johanna will be interning with the German American Chamber of Commerce South, where she will work on building bridges between American and German businesses. Her specialization on foreign trade has led her to be very open minded toward different cultures and she is keen on learning about the differences in the working methods between Germany and the US.

Theresa (20) is from Kötz. She is learning to become an office manager. Theresa is particularly interested in learning about American eating habits. During her stay in the Atlanta area she will be interning with Coro Realty Advisors, where she will gain insights on the real estate market in the US, as well as gain experience in the fields of marketing and accounting.

Johannes (29) is from Hollenbach. He is being educated to become a technical product designer. During his stay in the United States he will be interning with the automotive supplier Heiche US Surface technology in Spartanburg, South Carolina, where he will be working on surface treatments for automobile components. His personal objective is to improve his language skills.

Nico (20) is from Bamberg. He is training to become an automobile business administrator. The most enjoyable part of his job is the direct contact with the customer. Nico will be interning with Jim Ellis Audi of Atlanta, where he will be learning about the automotive market in the United States. During his stay he hopes to gain international experience and build up his self-esteem.

Robin (20) is from Wertheim. He is an Industrial mechanic apprentice. The most enjoyable part of his job is the precision and the necessary detail work. During his stay in the Atlanta area Robin will be interning with Voestalpine Automotive Body Parts Inc.

Iris (20) is from Mainleus. She is being educated to become a media agent for digital and print media. Iris will be interning with the Southern Regional Education Board, where she will learn about the differences between the German and American education systems. She is looking forward to experiencing the “American way of life”.

Thomas (20) is from Heilsbronn. He is learning to become a media agent for digital and print media. Thomas will be interning with Star Publishing, where he will gain insights on the development of media projects in the print sector.

Marius (19) is from Bruckmühl. He is an industrial mechanic apprentice. During his stay in the United States Marius will be interning with the automotive supplier BOS Inc. in Rochester Hills, Michigan, where he hopes to improve his technical know-how on the manufacturing process of automobile components.

Franziska (21) is from Moosburg. She is studying to become a freight forwarding and logistics services specialist. Franziska will be interning with BLG Logistics, where she will learn how American logistical companies function. During her stay she hopes to gain many practical experiences.

Julian (21) is from Stephanskirchen. He is learning to become a technical product designer. After his apprenticeship he wants to study engineering. Julian will be interning with Voestalpine Automotive Body Parts Inc.

Hagen (20) is from Freising. He is being educated to become an industrial clerk. Hagen is particularly interested in the education system in the United States. He will be interning with GATC L.P., where he will learn how German companies can successfully enter the American marketplace with their products.

Pascal (19) is from Weißenstadt. He is training to become an industrial clerk. During his stay in the United States he will be interning with Zwick/Roell, where he will be working in sales, marketing and customer service.

Katharina (18) is from Warngau. She is learning to become an industrial clerk. She will be interning with the personnel services provider Hofmann Services Inc., where she will learn about the differences between the American and German business systems. This includes an in-depth look at American labor laws.

Stephanie (17) is from Fischbachau. She is studying to become an event manager. She will be interning with Green Festivals in Asheville, North Carolina, where she will be working on the preparation of a major event. During her internship she hopes to improve her English language skills and get to know American culture.

Michael (18) is from Igling. He is an industrial electrician apprentice. He will be interning with INP North America Inc. in Atlanta, where he will be working with a team of engineers. During his internship he will learn about the differences between the American and German energy sectors.

Marco (21) is from Großkarolinenfeld. He is being educated to become a precision machinist. During his stay in Atlanta he will be interning with American BOA Inc, where he will learn about differences between American and German production technology.

Dominik (19) is from Kiefersfelden. He is studying to become a physics laboratory technician. He will be interning at Atlanta Technical College. It has been a long time wish of his to travel to the United States.

Killian (19) is from Munich. He is training to become a plant mechanic for sanitary, heating and air conditioning systems. During his stay in Atlanta he will be interning in the engineering department at the Coca-Cola Company. He hopes to learn how his job in Germany is carried out differently in the US.
